CoverFx Foundation & Illuminating Powder

Guest blogger: Jenny S.

Hello there!

In this picture I'm wearing CoverFx's Compact Powder in "E50" and their Illuminating Loose Powder in "Platinum."

Interesting facts about the brand: CoverFx was started by two dermatologists, Lee Graff and Jenny Frankel. Their products were originally sold in hospital pharmacies for severe acne and rosacea, so you know it's safe for your skin! In fact, their anti-aging primer, "SkinPrep" is so nourishing that NYU's hospital uses it on burn victims. Wow, right?

CoverFx's Compact Powder is 40% pigmented, so a little goes a long way. This product won't clog pores and is gentle on acne-prone skin.

Use a mineral powder brush such as Sephora's "Mineral Powder Brush #45" or any Kabuki brush - These brushes give you medium to full coverage.

CoverFx's Illuminating Powder blurs out imperfections through their finally milled light reflecting particles and gives you a dewy glow. It comes in a bronze color too. I find that this product is superior than Bare Mineral's "Mineral Veil" because BM's shimmer particles are oversized and unnatural.

Advice: Use less product during the day and add more during the night. It'll make your face glow - especially in pictures!

Fun Fact: Angelina Jolie conceals her tattoos using full-coverage foundation to look flawless on screen.
